ASKED QUESTIONS

We specialize in industrial-grade metals engineered to withstand harsh operating environments, heavy machinery wear, UV exposure, and chemical contact:

  • Stainless Steel (304 & 316): Maximum corrosion and acid resistance, ideal for marine, chemical, food processing, and severe outdoor applications.

  • Anodized Aluminum: Lightweight, highly durable, and abrasion-resistant; available in matte, brushed, or custom-colored finishes.

  • Brass & Zinc Alloy: Premium heavy-duty appearance, excellent for decorative equipment badges, serialization tags, and heritage machinery.

Materials can be processed with chemical etching, MOPA fiber laser marking, UV/screen printing, or CNC profiling based on your engineering drawings.

Because each order is custom-manufactured to your exact engineering dimensions, artwork, and technical specifications, orders cannot be returned or canceled once production is approved and underway.

However, we stand behind our manufacturing quality 100%:

  • Strict Inspection: Every batch undergoes dimensional verification, edge finishing checks, and print/etch inspection against your approved engineering proof.

  • Resolution Guarantee: If an order fails to meet your approved proof or dimensional tolerances, notify our support team within 14 days of receipt with photos and job details. We will prioritize expedited remake, rework, or replacement of the non-conforming parts at our expense.

We support flexible corporate and industrial payment options tailored for business accounts:

  • Standard Payment Methods: All major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express), debit cards, ACH bank transfers, and domestic wire transfers.

  • Corporate Invoicing & POs: We gladly accept official corporate Purchase Orders (POs) from verified engineering firms, OEMs, and government agencies.

  • Net Terms: Net 30 payment terms are available for qualified long-term partners and repeat commercial accounts (subject to standard credit check).

Production lead times depend on material selection, tooling complexity, finishing techniques, and batch quantity:

  • Digital Proofing: Engineering digital proofs are typically provided within 24 business hours for your approval before tooling begins.

  • Standard Production: Most custom industrial orders ship within an estimated 3 to 4 weeks following final proof and specification sign-off.

  • Complex Custom Runs: Highly specialized processes (such as multi-color chemical etching, custom stamping dies, or high-tolerance CNC milling) or exceptionally large volume runs may require additional manufacturing time.

  • Expedited Scheduling: If you are working against a tight project schedule or equipment assembly deadline, please let us know your required in-hand date upfront—we will do our best to review shop capacity and accommodate rush requirements.

We provide a variety of high-tack industrial adhesives and mechanical mounting options tailored to your application and surface type:

Industrial Adhesive Backing:

High-Performance Transfer Adhesives (e.g., 467MP / 468MP style): Thin, high-shear acrylic adhesives ideal for smooth metal and flat equipment surfaces, offering strong resistance to moisture, oils, and temperature changes.

Heavy-Duty Foam / VHB-Type Tapes: Thick elastomeric bonding tapes designed for textured, rough, powder-coated, or slightly uneven surfaces with excellent vibration dampening.

Mechanical Fastener Holes: Custom-located pre-drilled holes, slots, or countersunk perforations for rivets, screws, or bolts.

Combination Mounting: We can supply plates with both peel-and-stick adhesive backing and pre-drilled holes for secure placement during mechanical fastening.

Our standard minimum order quantity (MOQ) is 200 units. This baseline allows us to set up precision tooling and production runs while offering competitive commercial volume pricing.

  • Prototyping & Sampling: If you require physical samples for engineering evaluation or fit-testing before committing to a production run, you only need to cover the initial tooling and setup fee.

  • Waived Tooling on Production Orders: Once your design is approved and you proceed with your subsequent production order, the tooling fee is completely waived.

  • Get a Quote: To see volume tier pricing for your 200+ unit order or to inquire about pre-production tooling, please submit your drawings through our quote form.

Yes, we maintain a thorough sign-off process to guarantee that your finished nameplates match your drawings precisely:

  • Free Engineering Digital Proof: Every order and quote includes a detailed digital production proof (PDF showing exact dimensions, tolerances, hole placements, and color callouts). We never start tooling until you review and formally approve this proof.

  • Physical Pre-Production Samples: If you require physical prototypes for fit checks or environmental qualification before your full 200+ unit run, we can produce actual metal samples. You only cover the initial tooling/setup fee, and that tooling fee is completely waived on your subsequent production order.

  • Existing Material Samples: If you simply want to inspect the tactile feel, finish quality, or metal thickness of our previous work, ask our team about a sample kit featuring representative production parts.

Yes. For custom manufacturing runs and new tooling orders, we typically operate on a standard B2B production deposit structure:

  • 50% Production Deposit: Required upon artwork and digital proof approval to initiate raw material procurement and custom tooling.

  • 50% Final Balance: Due prior to final quality inspection sign-off and dispatch. We will provide detailed shipment confirmation and tracking details upon dispatch.

  • Repeat & High-Volume Accounts: Established corporate partners and repeat OEM clients may apply for extended commercial credit terms (such as Net 30) following initial order history.

Yes, we provide reliable nationwide delivery across the United States and international shipping for industrial clients:

  • Standard Ground & Freight: Orders are securely packaged in protective industrial wrapping and shipped via major commercial carriers (UPS, FedEx, or freight carriers for heavy pallet shipments). Tracking information is provided immediately upon dispatch.

  • Expedited Shipping: Overnight, 2-Day Air, or guaranteed priority freight delivery is available upon request if you are facing strict production deadlines.

  • Third-Party Billing (Your Account): We are happy to ship using your existing corporate UPS or FedEx account number—simply provide your account details and preferred service level when placing your order.

Yes. Our manufacturing facility is specifically set up for commercial volume runs, and unit prices decrease significantly as quantities increase:

  • Tiered Volume Pricing: Because tooling, CNC programming, and setup costs are fixed, larger production batches (e.g., 500, 1,000, 5,000+ units) significantly lower your cost per piece.

  • Blanket Orders & Scheduled Releases: For OEM builders and ongoing equipment lines, we support annual blanket purchase orders (POs) with scheduled releases, securing volume pricing while aligning with your assembly schedule.

  • Repeat Re-Orders: As previously established, tooling and setup charges are not reapplied to exact re-orders, providing further savings on recurring production runs.

Initiating an order or receiving an official commercial quote is a straightforward, 3-step engineering process:

  1. Submit Your Specs: Fill out our online Request A Quote form or email your drawings directly to sales@pacificnameplate.com. Please include your target dimensions, material preference, mounting choice, and estimated quantity (MOQ 200 units).

  2. Review Quote & Proof: Our engineering team will review your specifications and provide a firm, itemized quote along with a digital proof within 1 business day.

  3. Production Approval: Once you approve the proof and complete payment/deposit arrangements, tooling and precision manufacturing begin immediately.

Yes, absolutely. You don’t need finished CAD or vector files to get started—our in-house engineering and drafting team can help turn your concepts into production-ready manufacturing blueprints:

  • Concept-to-CAD Drafting: Whether you only have a rough sketch, a photo of a legacy machine tag, or a basic dimensioned outline, we can generate complete 2D engineering drawings and vector tooling files for you.

  • Reverse Engineering & Replacements: If you have an existing physical tag from older equipment that needs to be replicated, simply send us high-resolution photos with a ruler for scale (or mail a sample piece), and our team will reverse-engineer the artwork, hole patterns, and typography.

  • Material & Process Optimization: We don’t just draw—we evaluate your operating environment (UV exposure, chemical contact, high temperatures) and advise on the ideal alloy thickness, mounting methods, and marking processes (chemical etching, laser marking, or color filling) to maximize longevity.

  • Complimentary Production Proof: Before any physical cutting or tooling begins, you will receive a comprehensive engineering digital proof (PDF) detailing exact tolerances, hole centers, and finishes for your final review and sign-off.
